Ingredients for Sourdough French Toast Casserole

  • Homemade sourdough bread: Of course, you can purchase bread already baked BUT it’s my opinion that sourdough is the best bread for this breakfast bake. Plus you’ll know it’s made with simple quality ingredients. You can grab the recipe for an easy sourdough loaf here
  • Eggs: If you follow along on Instagram then you already know we have a small flock of backyard chickens we adore. They give us more eggs than we can eat so this recipe is a great way to use a lot of eggs at once.
  • Whole milk & heavy cream: The perfect milk mixture for this casserole.
  • Sugar & brown sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Flour: Unbleached all-purpose
  • Cinnamon
  • Butter: Do yourself a favor and use real butter, not the fake stuff.
  • Maple Syrup
