- Whole milk & heavy cream: The perfect milk mixture for this casserole.
- Sugar & brown sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Flour: Unbleached all-purpose
- Cinnamon
- Butter: Do yourself a favor and use real butter, not the fake stuff.

How to Make Sourdough French Toast Casserole
This recipe really is so simple to throw together at night before bed and the next morning you’ll just add the crumb topping a pop it in the oven.
1. Start by slicing your sourdough loaf into 1-inch cubes. Toss your bread cubes into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.
2. In a large bowl add eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Stir.
3. Pour the mixture over the bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
4. The next morning, preheat your oven to 350° and prepare the crumble by mixing sugar, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Cut in butter and sprinkle on top of the bread and egg mixture.
5. Bake for 45 minutes in a preheated oven or until golden brown.
6. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup on top!
