Ingredients
1 1/2cupsall purpose flour
1tspbaking soda
1/2tspsalt
1/2cupbuttermelted
1cupsugar
1tspvanilla extract
1egg
1/3cupsourdough discard or active starter
2bananasmashed
1/3cupsour cream
Instructions
Preheat oven to 360°F and butter a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
First, add flour, baking soda, and salt to a large mixing bowl and set the mixture aside.
Melt the butter and add it to a separate bowl along with the sugar. Stir it together.
Add the egg and vanilla.
Stir in the sourdough discard.
In a third bowl, mash two bananas and then fold the sour cream into the bananas.
Stir in the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold in the mashed banana mixture.
*This is when you will add any mix-ins like chocolate chips if you choose.
Pour mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50 minutes to an hour until it’s golden brown. Insert a toothpick into the loaf and if it comes out clean it’s done.
Cool loaf in the pan for 10 minutes and then invert onto a cooling rack.
