Ingredients
2cupfreshly milled soft white wheat flour
2tspsalt
¼cupolive oil or melted butter
¼cupwater + more as needed
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix the Dough
Add the flour and salt to a food processor and pulse briefly to combine.
Pour in the olive oil (or melted butter) and water, then pulse until the mixture comes together into a soft dough. Add more water if the dough does not come together.
Roll out the Dough
Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out very thin, about 1/8 inch thick.
The thinner the dough, the crispier the crackers will be.
Cut the Crackers
Remove the top sheet of parchment paper.
Use a pizza cutter to slice the dough into small squares or rectangles.
Use a fork to poke holes in each cracker to help them bake evenly.
Bake and Serve
Transfer the parchment with the cut dough onto a baking sheet.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crackers are lightly golden and crisp.
Let the crackers cool completely before breaking them apart along the cut lines. They will crisp up even more as they cool.
