Ingredients
1½lbsground beef
2½tbspchili powder, divided
1onion, diced
1jalapeño, seeded and diced
4clovesgarlic, minced
1tspcumin
315 oz cans of kidney beans, drained and rinsed
114.5 oz can diced tomatoes with juices
114.5 oz can crushed tomatoes
2½cupsbeef broth
1tbspbrown sugar
Instructions
Heat 6 quart dutch oven on medium high heat and brown ground beef and 1 1/2 tablespoons of the chili powder saving the rest to add later, diced onion, diced jalapeño, and minced garlic. Drain.
Add remaining ingredients including the additional tablespoon of chili powder and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes to an hour.
Enjoy topped with cheddar cheese, sourcream, or any other favorite topping.
